Jef Geys exhibited in many important institutions around the world, including the WIELS, Brussels (2017); Kunsthal Charlottenborg, Copenhagen (2016); Museum of Contemporary Art, Detroit (2010); National Museum of Singapore, Singapore (2009); IAC Lyon Villeurbanne (2007); Frankfurter Kunstverein, Frankfurt (2007); Pori Art Museum, Pori, Finland (2005); Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven (2004); documenta 11 (2002); Skulptur Projekte Münster, Munster, (1997); Le Palais des Beaux-Arts, Brussels (1992); and São Paulo Biennial (1991). Recent solo exhibitions include Galerie Max Mayer, Düsseldorf (2017); La Loge, Brussels (2017); S.M.A.K., Ghent (2015).

 

He participated in "The Lulennial II: A Low-Hanging Fruit" at Lulu, Mexico City, (2018); was represented in the Belgian Pavilion at the 53rd Venice Biennale, Italy (2009), and participated in "Deep Comedy" show at Marfa, 2007, curated by Dan Graham with Sylvia Chivaratanond.
